This meditation shelter was the center of this work from 2004->2018
Other possible explanations for the missing concepts:
These missing concepts are not actually difficult - not complex additions in the top branches of mathematics. The learning challenge is that the path of thought is so radically different from contemporary story. Complexity cannot be the reason that the five key constructs of this work are missing from textbooks and teaching materials.
One explanation is that these missing elements were discovered by setting aside Einstein’s principles of relativity and Minkowski’s spacetime construct to wonder what an atom would look like to a flat creature embedded within the surface membrane of the expanding sphere of Dionys Burger’s Sphereland story. Such thinking was impossible during the time of Einstein and Minkowski. And then later - after Hubble’s discovery that our universe is expanding - Einstein’s principles of relativity had been elevated to sacred revelation. Setting that aside became unthinkable within the physics community.
I built this meditation hut when I left my technical career behind to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, with four questions that came to me in a series of dreams and burned inside for an honest response
What kind of place is this universe that we are born into?
What am I making of what the great minds of science have said?
What am I making of what the great minds of spirit have said?
Has anyone ever seen a single thing?
So, during MSW studies, I set out after a personal understanding of why physics and religion tell such different stories about this universe that we are immersed in. Chasing those questions took me deeper than i expected to go and I went sliding back down a slippery slope into renewed thought about the strange behavior of light that prompted Einstein’s special theory of relativity.
Another possible explanation for the missing elements is that this landscape of thought invites participation by spiritual thinkers. Instead of a ‘time’ dimension there is an inner energetic realm of participation in collective behavior — within each atom there is an inner dimension that is functionally orthogonal to the outer expanse of spatial ‘pointing’ dimensions. Stated differently, in this kind of universe there is a transcendent realm of participation beneath the surface of external senses and sensing instruments. To some people of science this creates an unacceptable inference - that religion is so ubiquitous because human awareness is rooted in the transcendent realm of our physical universe.
