From 1997 through 2003 I did contract work designing automation and control systems within the petrochemical industry in Louisiana. This included parallel reactor cooling pumps for a glycol plant, an 8000-horsepower propylene refrigeration compressor and distillation columns within a vinyl production plant. In addition to those major projects, there were many smaller projects to discover and implement solutions to problems with automatic control systems.
